Scheduling future transactions

Personal Finances lets you set up a schedule which will automatically generate future transactions. These can be recurring transactions e.g. salary coming in, or payments going out, or known one off payments that will occur on a specific date in the future. One can, for example, create monthly bills for an apartment, telephone, internet, salary, etc. Such transactions will be entered by the program automatically at a preset time, without any user interference. You need to enter the transaction data only once and set up the scheduler.

In the list of scheduled transactions, the "Date" column displays whether the schedule is active or not, as well as the date of the nearest event. In the context menu of the scheduled transaction, the user can find the "Apply now" option that allows him to complete a transaction instantly.

Scheduler

Before you decide whether or not to use this facility you should give some thought to how are you going to run your records. If you are going to make use of regular imports of data from your Internet banking then it does not make a lot of sense to schedule future transactions because these will result in duplicate records.
