Working with database files
The database is a single PFD file. You can create and work with unlimited number of databases. Since all data is stored in one small file, you can easily move, copy to disk, make a backup copy of that file, or send it by email. Also, the file can be on a shared network drive, so users can work with it from different computers in turns (simultaneous work with the database is impossible).
Creating a New Database
When you create a new database (File > New), you will be prompted to create an empty database or copy the structure of the current database, including all its accounts, currencies and categories. It is convenient if you, for example, start a new database every year, and archive the old one. When you copy the structure of the current database, all accounts, currencies and categories are saved. The starting account balance will be the same as the current balance.
Password Protection
The database can be password protected. On the main menu select File > Set Password. The program will prompt you to enter and confirm a password. The values of both fields must be the same. To remove the password, just leave both fields empty and click OK.
